
Uses for Tennis Balls
1. Tennis balls are an asset in the laundry room. Not only can they be tossed into the dryer to give new life to a comforter, some curtains or a jacket, but a new tennis ball will also help fight static in the laundry, just toss it in the dryer with the rest of the clothes!
2. If you have a light bulb that has broken off in a socket push a tennis ball against the broken socket and twist the remains out with ease!
3. Cut a slit in a tennis ball and slip it over the head of a hammer to protect surfaces.
4. Cut slits in four tennis balls to help protect your floors when you need to move some heavy furniture.
5. Teachers can use this trick in the classroom to cut down the noise, plus it's a fun look for the students!
6. If you're never sure how far you should pull into the garage a tennis ball can solve your problem. Put the car where it is supposed to be and suspend a tennis ball from the ceiling so it rests on the windshield. This way you can pull into the garage and know just when to stop!
7. Float a couple of tennis balls in your swimming pool to absorb body oils from swimmers. Replace the balls every couple of weeks during high-use periods.
8. To prevent a bicycle kickstand from sinking into soft grass, sand, or mud, cut a slit in a tennis ball and put it on the end of the kickstand.
9. For a simple but amazingly enjoyable and therapeutic foot massage, take your shoes off, place a tennis ball on the floor, and roll it around under your feet.
10. If your hands are weakened by arthritis or other ailments, you probably have a difficult time removing twist-off bottle caps. An old tennis ball may help. Simply cut a ball in half and use one of the halves to enhance your grip.
11. Wrap a tennis ball in sandpaper and use it to sand curves when you're refinishing furniture. The tennis ball is just the right size and shape to fit comfortably in your hand.
